Venezuela regime change obsession
US Naval Buildup Signals Renewed Push for Regime Change in Venezuela
Discover why the massive naval deployment targeting Venezuela is likely about overthrowing Maduro, not chasing drug cartels, and analyze the limited intervention options for global rivals like China and Russia.
Short Summary
- The Trump administration initiated a major naval buildup near Venezuela, citing drug cartels, but the force composition suggests a regime change objective.
- This military posturing echoes past failed attempts (Guaido fiasco), but the current scale implies preparation beyond mere intimidation.
- Analysis shows external powers like Russia and China lack the global naval projection capability to effectively interfere with a determined US operation.
- Venezuela faces significant international isolation; if the US commits to invasion, sustained defense against US military superiority is realistically impossible.
This discussion dissects the current military escalation against Nicolás Maduro, evaluating the strategic weakness of the stated drug cartel pretext and assessing the geopolitical ramifications across Latin America and among competing global powers.

I love how the US and its puppies have kept calling the ones that disagree with them as a regime, as if this word was naturally born negative, and referred themselves as a government, as if they truly do things for the common people.
Military exercises and tensions: In late August 2025, the Venezuelan government announced the deployment of armed drones received from Iran and mobilized its militia. This was in response to increased U.S. naval presence in the Caribbean. Iranian officials, in turn, have publicly condemned U.S. actions and reaffirmed their support for Venezuela.
Why the hell can they not do the same for Britain. We need change more than Venezuela.
The U.S. cannot invade Venezuela with 2,000 marines.
All those sequences proves one thing : Panic , lack of long term vision , and fear ...the need to display force after getting its ass kiked for 3 years in Ukraine

Alexander seems to forget US can't even beat the Houtis of Yemen so I believe Venezuela could defend itself
Theres no bully like the USA
Venezuela has the rigt to defend itself.
I can guarantee if Venezuela was void of oil, the US would be void of interest too.
