JavaScript truly is the Hammer, that strikes everything but the nail it is supposed to hit.
Pros: writing stored procedures in SQL was hard, but now I might consider doing it Cons: writing stored procedures in SQL was hard, but now I might consider doing it
Who let people at MySQL cook?
Can't wait for code coverage requirements to include code in database migrations. That'll be fun!
This reminds me of a startup where the founding team was a bunch of DBAs. Their ENTIRE application was in the database. HTML, CSS, app/business logic, EVERYTHING. They had all their HTML templates stored in database tables and would string interpolate and concat a bunch of them together inside stored procedures to render an HTML page. All their "app server" did was essentially route your request to a stored procedure and return the result of that procedure. Madness.
Can't wait to use React with MySQL
now you need to check IS NOT NULL AND IS NOT UNDEFINED AND IS NOT NAN
