Never ever fall into the trap that the company is a family. It is not. Never will be. Once you are out the door, you will not be missed.
Employers try to pretend employees can’t discuss their wages with eachother. That is false and a good idea when wanting to negotiate a raise.
Companies don't give you two weeks notice when they fire you.
YES 🌟🌟🌟 That is soooo right...."people don't really appreciate the value of your presence, until they feel your absence"
When people join to big corp like Google and call it DREAM JOB and then get laid off by email 😁
Between 2014 and 2022 I switched job 12 times and doubled my income every two years from $12k a year to $120k.
I'm fortunate I love my job. That said I know I'm just a number still.
I wished I learned this lesson years ago. Been with the same company for 18 years and struggling to find meaning and satisfaction where I can after 10 years of working for a corporation that gave 1% increases and none in 2020 😂
Govt doesnt care either. In fact noone does. We are just a number everywhere. A worker bee that consumes too much.
I was in quiet quitting mode long since before it was cool when I realized companies will expect you to go the extra mile for the company's bottom-line, but "the company was always doing badly" when it came time to have a conversation about my "wage review".
