Description

This home movie - 16 mm - was recorded in a pool hole in Newark, New Jersey, in 1968. The activists are trying to get young men in the pool hall to have faith that they can get a job and change their culture and society for the better. I have the documentary, but I don't have what happened as a result.

I admired a talk show host years ago on WOL radio in D.C., “Black Talk Radio”, Bernie McCain. He was from Newark and he spoke out strongly against injustices, too. Organizing against injustices is so important. Everyone needs to at least speak out against any injustice that we see or are aware of. I miss the days of more protests and activism, which brought hope.
