The oligarchs are importing mass amounts of cheap, exploitable labor. A bloated labor pool means business isn't forced to compete for workers by paying higher wages. When mass amounts of cheap labor is imported, mass amounts of consumers are also imported. More consumers increase demand for housing, goods, and services, causing prices to skyrocket. Lower wages and higher prices create a windfall for aristocrats and complete ruin for the rest of us.
I live in Omaha, freaking, Nebraska. It’s getting out of control. Service jobs began to finally pay an almost survivable wage, a couple of years ago. In the last couple of years we’ve seen a massive influx of African and Central/South American immigrants. Now, pay has leveled off, and, in many instances, began moving backwards. As a gig worker, I’m making less this year than last year.
Can we be honest for just a second here?? WHY would any of the countries to our south care or try to stop ANY of this??? Our decision makers have had all of them under our foot..... we're not seen as friends!?!? Why WOULD they help us??
It CAN be shut down. They DON’T WANT to shut it down
It blows my mind that anybody would think you can have open borders and a welfare state.
My grandparents were immigrants. Here's the difference. When they came to the US through Ellis Island, they were documented. They showed identification. My grandparents were given nothing. They built a community and businesses out of necessity. They did without, often going hungry. Compare this to today. The people coming here are unvetted and undocumented. American taxpayers are supporting the illegal immigrants. We are housing them in luxury hotels, and houses, giving them EBT cards to buy the kind of food they like. We are providing them medical care for free, housing for free. All the while the skyrocketing cost of living is straining us. People are being displaced, schools housing them. We already have a housing crisis. My husband is an immigrant. He came here legally. It took 2 1/2 years, police clearances, required vaccinations, family history, work history. Etc... I sponsored him. It took 1 1/2 years to get a work permit and resident card. He is entitled to NOTHING. To be honest, this is a slap in my face. Immigration is good, WHEN DONE LEGALLY.
This is the worst self-inflicted wound I can think of
It's a billion dollar industrial invasion complex.🤑
How many migrants stayed in Martha’s Vineyard?
