Why put a map up and then cover the bottom with a red banner so you can't see the south coast?
My son-in-law, drives a bus. It had no aircon yesterday and at one point he measured inside at 45. I don’t even know how that’s legal. Surely that’s a danger to both the driver and the passengers
People don't realise no mfs have AC in the UK and its almost always HUMID af
Please BBC, can we have a bigger banner because some of the information is still visible.
My husband is a civil engineer and the company he works for sent every single ground worker home with full pay and then told them to take today as well if it hasn't dropped by Friday then they'll be out till Monday. Now that is a good boss.
Well i work in a theatre with no air conditioning....it hit 40 degrees yesterday, felt like I was dying... people (customers) left because they couldn't stand it, one fainted... places like that without air conditioning should have to close in this weather by law.
As someone who is older and brought up in Australia where the temperatures can get really high, we had no aircon when I was younger. This is what we did to stay cool. Get an empty drink bottle fill it with water, put it into the freezer and freeze it, wrap it in a towel, wrapping it only once and place behind your neck when you are sitting down, also get ice cubes, put it in a bucket of cold water and put your feet in it. When going to bed get a water bottle that you use on a cold night, put a jug of water in the freezer half an hour before going to bed so it's really cold but not frozen and put the cold water in a water bottle that you can put at the back of your neck when sleeping, through the day, spray yourself down with water and stand in front of a fan. My mother did that when I was a child and it helped.
bruh i woke up into an inferno. my little desk fan really isnt helping
0:16 Thanks for the useful map. Can definitely see the important information ... I definitely didn't want to see if my area is in danger and I want to see a red bar covering everything instead.
All year they cry that it's cold and wet and finally some warm sunshine...
