The Bible explains that the spirits encountered in such experiences are not the souls of deceased loved ones, but rather demons who masquerade as angels of light or as the dead to deceive people. Therefore, believers are instructed to flee from any fascination with the paranormal and to rely solely on God's Word for guidance.
