Disney trying to find a soul is like Rey trying to find a personality
I love how these remakes are called “live-action” when they’re like 95 percent CGI. So basically, “let’s remake an animated classic with a worse animated film.”
I loved the part where Ariel said ‘Go away now’. Truly inspiring.
The Princess and the frog was primarily hand drawn, showed the value of hard work and the black character wasn’t artificially wedged in at all. Disney needs to remember how to make movies like that.
Everyone: “So are you ever gonna do any hand drawn films again?” Disney: “No.” 🙂
“I’m not talking about the melanin levels in her skin…Disney baited the fans with that one, because they knew they could use the result and backlash to silence any actual criticism.” *Rings of Power has entered the chat*
"Selling you back your childhood at an inflated price" - well said Mr. Drinker.
This is literally putting into my words EXACTLY how I feel about disney, today. Poor Walt would roll over if he saw the massive downfall his empire is goin through.
"Amazon using Tolkein's legacy as a billion dollar canvas to fingerpaint on." Brutal and accurate.
Another thing that pissed me off about the Mulan 2019 remake (along with so many other things) was the fact that the writers omitted Mulan's cutting of her own hair in preparation for going in the army. THAT is literally the most PIVOTAL action in the whole animated film. It showed sacrifice, courage, and bravery to face the unknown and the terrors of war in place of her father. Seriously, why get rid of that?? Its so important.
