Years ago congress authorized 2000 new border patrol personnel. I know of lots of vets signed up. The new hires went through training then the holes in the system came out. The BP union fought every new thing. They didn't want manning slots considered highly desirable by the old BP filled by new people. They also thought of these new people as diluting the advancements. Like some highly skilled and experienced new guys getting slots that guys who had been there 20 years. How the BP countered this was by treating the new ones like shit so they would quit. Like putting a new guy in a broken BP truck in the middle of nowhere with no firearms and broken radio. Yes this was done. Congress had a good immigration bill ready to pass and at the last minute Trump ordered it killed. And he wasn't in office but wanted to run on how bad the border was.

you forgot to ask him why he thinks trump is being sanewashed.

David, In all seriousness, keep it up with having the National Review guys like Ramesh on your show. They bring serious arguments to the table and don’t hold water for Trump. Good for you!
