As a Colorado resident, I have seen so many posts on LinkedIn from establishment Zionists - who claim to be of the Jewish faith - feigning "concern" about Melat Kiros's resounding victory against this useless backbencher. They say her remarks on the campaign trail are antisemitic, yet can pull not a single quote of hers that blames Jews for bad things or claims that Jewish representation in media, government, finance etc. threatens this country. No, Kiros's criticisms have been about Israel, its government, and the Zionist project - all of which have merely tangential relation to the Jewish faith, if any at all. Her criticisms have been centered on the Israeli government's treatment of innocent people. The handwringing about antisemitism is a desperate ploy to refit the mask that Israelis themselves have ripped off in their response to October 7th.

Great conversation. I am a CO resident and life-long Democrat, who switched to unaffiliated after the 2024 debacle. Melat Kiros's win was an incredible breath of fresh air. The stranglehold of do-almost nothing Corporate backed Dems in CO is finally breaking. Polis is revealing his true colors as he leaves office: he is a tech bro at heart and doesn't have any deep convictions.

I hate this vibe of "waiting in the wings" for someone to retire. Run on your platform, not your years sitting as a lame duck!
