If you're offended by charlie and the chocolate factory you're going to have a rough life ahead of you😂
Re-writing the books of my childhood. It seems like the left wake up everyday and think "what should we ruin today "
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.” George Orwell, 1984 Recently, Prevent’s Research Information and Communications Unit (RICU) took to branding certain sitcoms, films, documentaries and literature as “problematic”. Examples such as “Yes, Minister”, “The Thick of It”, “Great Railway Journeys”, “The Dambusters” and even “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” were branded as “possible red-flags of Far-Right extremism”. Make no mistake, we are in the middle of a war for the culture, and many among us are too myopic, lazy or downright stupid to see the road this will all lead to. People dismiss our concerns as “conservative hand-wringing” or over-imaginative fears of the “dreaded Red Menace”. But it is real and it is happening. Our cultural values are being whittled away. It is a slow death by a million cuts, and by the time we muster a motivated response… there may be nothing left to save.
I don’t know how much more we should put up with this ….
The whole world has gone mad
I'm not even kidding, we literally watched both the Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp versions of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory last night, and my mom literally made a joke about how if they ever remade the movie they'd have to change the races of all the white kids and swap out a lot of the kid's vices (such as Augustus being fat). I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry about how perfect the timing is.
this generation is so predictable now
This is precisely why I love places like Half Price Books where I can buy old copies of these books before the woke mob destroys them.
10 years ago, “the wokies have come for the literature” wouldn’t have made a lick of sense but now we’re like “of course they have”
They must not like blueberries.
