Raise taxes on the top 5%, instead of giving them tax breaks at the expense of the other 95%.

AMERICANS WOULD BE HAPPY TO WORK FACTORY JOBS IF IT PAID THEM ENOUGH TO LIVE. Those were relatively high paying jobs in the USA not that long ago. There was a time that you could support a family on a factory job.

If the US creates currency out of thin air and the world sells their products for that currency. Currency creation near zero effort, product creation requires a LOT of effort and resources. Who is taking advantage of who???

The reason for the trade discrepancy is our ability to trade paper for actual goods, i.e, the world's reserve currency. Other countries recognize the inherent unfairness of this transaction and tariff our exports to protect themselves. So, we want our cake and eat it too- the resultant advantage of trading for actual goods, and offering only paper in return. Now we want the ability to issue the paper, and complain about the import/export discrepancy. Our guest dodged this point. 😉

These foreign countries can remove all import tariffs on US imports, but it does not guarantee these countries would buy more US goods as they have low purchasing power. Therefore the trade deficits would continue.
