If a teacher is texting or emailing (etc) a student they should be required by law to bcc or cc the parent.

My daughter had a male teacher give her his number, “in case she ever wanted to talk,” when she was in second grade. I reported it to the school immediately, and he didn’t have a job shortly after. That’s a red flag. 🚩

If a teacher texted my kids even when they’re 17 I would be on the phone with the school. There is zero reason for it.
