If they had handed the ball to Beast Mode at the 1 yard line, he would still have his job
A shame that people remember Pete for the 1 yard play but forget that he built the Legendary defense (300+ roster moves in 1 year) that destroyed a historic offense the year before.
So dope that Bobby Wagner hopped on the show!
This is one depressing week for Football.. 😔
Thanks Pete thanks Russ. Superbowl 48 was awesome and Seattle needed it. Good luck in the future
This is bittersweet for me as a seahawks fan. On one hand, i do think Pete had reached a point of stagnation and (at least this year) had lost the team. But on the other hand, ill never forget what hes done for this franchise.
Pete loves “his” team, it seems he was more worried about his staff , than his coaching career. I think he wants to stick around to help the transition. I can’t see him not carrying on with the Seahawks in some capacity, he loves being around the alumni. Big loss for this Seahawks fan 💔
Those 2 losses to the 49ers, 2 losses to the rams and 37-03 loss to the ravens were devastating 😟
Local Seattleite here. I and many others are gutted by this. Won’t feel the same without Pete, with that and Deboer leaving… it’s gonna be a long and darker than normal winter for us up here.
There is no way this was a “mutual parting of ways”. He absolutely wanted to keep coaching there. He was fired.
