This podcast is the one that changed my life. I didn't serve, I'm blind n one eye and couldn't serve. I wish I was born different. I went down a different path because of this OXY at 15, coke and OXY at 16, kicked out at 18. Homeless from 18 to 23. January 10th 2020 I got sober. Never did understand how a podcast changed anyone's life. Today is January 10th, 2025 and this is the one that change my life. This guy had me in tears, I listened from beginning to end. The trauma from robbing, stealing and doing drugs because I didn't have a dad hit home. I thank Shawn for hosting this man for giving my life a different perspective.
Shawn , I am one of those veterans that is "recovering" thanks to your "therapy sessions"..... You will never know how many of us have been blessed by your efforts.... Thank You
One of the most difficult 30 minute interview to watch. I thank that man for his service and may the prayers of the entire SRS community be offered for him. He's not only a true warrior but a better human being.
Thanks for serving in Team 6. That’s really difficult to achieve and you have to make a lot of tough decisions out there. Thank you for your hard work and dedication and sacrifice to keep the homeland safe.
Your a hero you put your life on the line for the people of this Country. Children get caught up in adult bullshit. In Iraq my buddy LCP. Christensen tagged a little boy and he changed that day. He never talked or joked after that. He got out of the Corps and took his own life. I still think of him.
Wow, ryan is literally the source for anyone with PTSD to watch and learn, thanks ryan.
Being in battle or a war really takes a huge chunk of your mind and soul May God heal your pain. Thank all of you for your dedication and service 🙏
Hey Shawn, I'm a 70 year old Vietnam veteran, went to indo China at a young age, I was fortunate I survived and came home wound up with chronic PTSD, I thank God for the VA because they put me in a long-term program and I'm finally of sound mind, I really enjoy your interviews keep up the good work
I was apart of JTF-6 mission while in the Marines in 1998. A kid was “accidentally killed” on the border named Hernandez Martinez. It’s been over 27 years and got PTSD very bad from being apart of that mission. Every time I see pictures of the Southern Boarder I get extreme flashbacks to where I can smell the landscape. It was one of the most scariest moments of my life. Been in therapy 6 years now but doing better!
This is like the band-aid ripping off and ripping off and ripping off. Men need to hear this. Thanks Shawn.
