He has that monotone relaxed Artificial Intelligence voice. You become what you use 😂
I’m so glad I didn’t have to deal with AI slop as a child.
"Are we losing our minds to AI?" / "Are we becoming less skilled?" The answer is Yes.
Your brain: “Use it or lose it,” no doubt. Problem is, an LLM can make you _feel_ as if you’re using your brain.
Don't use the word "our", we are not all reliant, most of us are educated enough to think for ourselves.
I'm tired of hearing about AI, I'm tired of seeing AI slop everywhere. I just want the world to go back to what it was before 2020...
I regularly try out AI large kanguage models as i have to understand student use . It has failed to understsnd the question asked each time, makes references up, uses language incorrectly and creates links that are not there.
AI cannot take away our brains, it is us throwing our brains to computer programmers😂😂😂
It is a valid worry, and recent cognitive science suggests your anxiety is far from groundless. We aren't necessarily "losing our minds," but we are absolutely reshaping them. What we are experiencing is a massive acceleration of a psychological phenomenon called cognitive offloading—outsourcing mental tasks to external tools. We did it with calculators for math, and GPS for navigation. But AI is different. It doesn't just hold our grocery lists; it is encroaching on executive functions we always thought were uniquely human: synthesizing information, analyzing arguments, and generating ideas.
This is absolutely a true risk. AI makes you think less in order to be more effective. When you think less, you lose brain capacity. If politicians don't understand this, we are all doomed.
