Historically, athletes were permitted to travel unimpeded to competitions during wartime, like during WWII. The Trump regime is beyond the norm. It was expected, tragic and completely disheartening! I hope other world athletic organizations, such as the Olympic Committee, would pay attention to the events that are unfolding in the United States with the Fifa tournament so we don't repeat the mistakes with future decisions. 😒
