Tipping is management's excuse for not paying employees.
I hate tipping culture. It’s not my job to pay your employees..
From a foreigner view: The US tipping system is sick and absurd. Pay your staff, thats how simple it is.
Australian here - tips should not be a substitute for a sufficient wage.
Cheap?! It's the employer that's cheap, just pay your employees.
The social pressure of tipping in the US is very uncomfortable and awkward
Businesses don't want to pay their employees a decent wage, so they abuse and rely on tipping.
I have stopped shopping or going anywhere that asks for tips.
