Hi Emily! To clarify the mandated reporter thing, mandated reporters only report on abuse of children, older adults, or adults who are considered vulnerable (mental or physical impairment). You don’t report abuse for non vulnerable adults unless they consent. I’ve had so many people admit abuse to me that I couldn’t do anything about because they did not want it disclosed. When AH came forward, JD was basically cancelled and her career took off. The “backlash” came when JD started fighting back and AH’s story began falling apart.

As someone who watched the ENTIRE trial and all of the Lawtok videos, this made me so upset to see NBC spin this narrative and allow her to further speculate
