As a physicist I have a quantum physics type of explanation . Zero is associated with complete uncertainty , absence of information.
There are two things that we cannot experience; nothing and infinity. The fact that we can think intelligently about both is a testament to the power and potential of the human mind.
Zero is the lock to the unknowable and the key to the unknown. The definition of what you don't know, and the afterthought of what you can never know.
Zero ——> empty room . nothing——> no room.
Nothing does not equal zero…one is the absence of something, while the other is not about absence at all, but rather a quantity.
I'd love to see a video that explores the relationship between zero and infinity.
