As someone who went into watching It Ends With Us expecting a sweet, romantic film, I was upset by how it was promoted. As a survivor of domestic violence, I wasn’t prepared for my Sunday night to be overwhelmed by triggering memories of past trauma. I had no idea it was based on a book. Blake Lively promoted it as a lighthearted movie. In my opinion that was vile.
