Try asking people who lost their homes in the LA fires what they think about Newsom.

In a true Californian politician fashion, he can't commit to ANYTHING, period. He has no convictions, no ideas, no solutions, just lots of hair gel.

I moved to CA from the Midwest out of college in 1977. It was Paradise - a beautiful state with a Mediterranean climate and a real land of opportunity. As happy as I was to get there then I was even happier to get out in 2016 when I retired to Arizona. Just on Homelessness in my hometown of San Francisco there was a very small "Skid Row" in 1977. By the time I left there were Thousands living on the streets sprawling over a huge part of the city.

Ben, I'm one of those Californians that may opt out after the 2026 election results. My greatest fear is that Kamala Harris, who seems to be bent on running for CA Governor, since she couldn't win the Presidency (Thanks be to God!!), not only runs but wins !! I'm a native Californian, born and raised here (I'm 73), and it would be truly heartbreaking to leave my beloved state. However once the political atmosphere becomes so toxic that the only reasonable thing is to get out, you do what you have to do. I'm praying this scenario doesn't play out. We'll know before long. So sad... 😦

4 years since I escaped CA. I miss some friends, a few restaurants, and a few places, but I wouldn't move back if I was given a house to live in free for 5 years and all moving expenses covered. I don't mind visiting once every year or two but by the end I am reaffirmed on why I left, and usually more so than when I left.

If that happens that tells you how blinded these people are in this country
