GPT 5.5 was just amazing, they fought back and won from my perspective
I also think 5.6 is right around the corner. I noticed in the last few days 5.5 became more and more stupid.
Really considering moving from claude code to codex from the things I have heard about it. Just trying to think how to best manage projects in the future so that switching is easier.

There are a bunch of local models that are tool capable and can perform basic tasks but I haven't found one that can be just turned loose on a medium or large project yet... =\
I prefer GPT-5.5 in every way except context size. But Opus 4.8 is much nicer than 4.7
I understand wanting to seen Opus-4.8 in the Claude Code harness ... but, then wouldn't you also want to see results of GPT-5.5 in the CODEX harness as well?
