Resin artist here! I’d like to first say, wear gloves and work in a ventilated area. 0:06 - the torch removes bubbles! This can also be done with a heat gun or spritz of rubbing alcohol. 0:21 - I Don’t know what this mold is made out of… but I don’t know if you’d want this anyway. 0:40 - be careful when pouring epoxy resin in large amounts! It can get super hot. It’s normally best to work in layers. 1:16 - this should be done into a mold to avoid getting resin everywhere. 1:45 - I Don’t know if that will remove from the glove. But regardless, you can tell their final product is a very different shape from the “mold” they used. It would be better to just make your own mold from silicone. 2:18 - they only used part B of their resin. That is epoxy resin. it MUST be mixed with part A in order to harden. That will be forever liquid and you will be sad. 2:50 - don’t use food coloring. Most resins will say, “do not use water-based colorants.” Use alcohol ink, you will achieve the exact same effect. 3:23 - please don’t step on nails. 3:47 - you could buy or create a silicone mold in that shape instead of wasting a jar like that. 4:06 - again with the food coloring? Use alcohol ink! 4:25 - you can very easily find a hexagon silicone mold. Resin sticks to just about everything but silicone. Also, I recommend doing a layer of resin, letting that cure, then adding the photo and final resin layer. 4:44 - no. Please don’t try to preserve any food with a moisture content in resin. 4:54 - some of the sand may become embedded in the resin, never to be removed. Create a silicone mold today! 6:08 - a layer before the gears is a good idea. 6:51 - I shall not repeat myself again. 7:27 - one more time: alcohol ink. They didn’t tell you, but all of that is UV resin. Don’t try to cure your epoxy under a UV lamp. 7:46 - that looks very real… but I’m going to hope it’s fake. The rest of that project is not something I have the knowledge on to review. 11:03 - use resin tape so it removes once cured. 11:49 - resin is not food safe! Especially if it came from a kit like that, you do not want that interacting with food! You probably can find food-safe resin, but you absolutely MUST ensure that it can be used with food. 12:29 - or you could… make a silicone mold… so you know it’ll detach… 12:58 - this is a lot of stuff I don’t know how to do. But at least they know how to use silicone. Also, alcohol ink specifically. Always wear a mask when sanding resin. You can shape resin when it’s semi-cured. Ensure the use of gloves. I hope this helped you! Again, wear rubber gloves to keep those fingers clean. Work in a well-ventilated area, and if you can’t, wear a respirator.

Why turn all that money into a skateboard that's a waste of money
Are we just going to ignore the fact that someone just stepped on nails.
You batter be kidding using money just for making skateboard 😐
Like who would even want to step on nails…..
People can actually afford 4 to 5 new skateboard than investing so much on a single piece 😅
