Seems like they released this in a hurry just to grab the media attention back from the GLM 5.2. I wish GLM 5.2 supports image input modality though.
Wait a seconds 0:09 Opus 4.8 gets better results at the same price? Why should we use Sonnet 5 instead of GLM 5.2 then?
we are in the permanent underclass phase of ai. it happened pretty damn quick.
If you read these charts like that, it would mean sonnet 4.6 on med costs more than opus 4.8 on high. Something's seems not right there.
It feels as if the recent pressure of the government limits Anthropic delivering over what they would like to deliver.
You think that it recreated the whole globe? I think it just reused some free library to render it. It just included it into the project.
Curious, why do you say you will stick to Opus 4.8 for most workloads, and not GPT-5.5? GPT seems to be stronger at everything except frontend, and way more token efficient than anything else out there.
There was a silent price hike with opus with their new tokenizer. Same price, but as the same text / data uses more tokens, that also effectively lowers it's max context length.
I don't understand. Is it not better than 4.6?
So, Opus 5 will cost more to claim Sonnet 5 cheaper. A price shift. If fable ever returns, the price of Opus times two?
