Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: An iPhone... But Better!
Xiaomi 17 Pro Max: A Spec Monster Designed to One-Up the iPhone 17 Pro Max
Discover how the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max leverages advanced hardware—especially its massive battery and unique rear display—to challenge the perception that the iPhone offers the maximum performance.
Short Summary
- This device intentionally mimics the iPhone aesthetic to ease user transition but excels in raw hardware specifications, particularly battery capacity, using silicon carbon technology.
- The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip now matches or surpasses the A19 Pro in raw benchmark performance metrics (multi-core and GPU).
- The defining feature is the full-sized, high-refresh-rate OLED screen built into the backplate, transforming the camera housing into a functional second display. This review focuses on how Xiaomi engineered the 17 Pro Max to be an "iPhone but better" by pushing core specifications far beyond current market leaders.

Type of phone many people will talk about and support but no one’s gonna buy.
In all fairness, Apple just introduced two new emojis.
Xaomi just designed the iPhone 20…
Marques didn't mention it but is also just $840 for the 512gb pro max version, vs the iphone $1300
Still can’t get over how Xiaomi just went one step further with adding the screen

It's crazy how they manage to put all those features with maxed out specs, with a huge battery, an extra display on the back, the fingerprint reader, etc. in the same form factor and still make it ligther. It almost makes it look like apple is not trying hard enough.
I bought the first gen Xiaomi phone for about $300 when they just started the company. and couple of years later, they gave me a $300 coupon to thank me for supporting them.
Apple: what can we remove from the box next time we launch a device Xiaomi: lets put a second pre-installed screen protector.
