Trained to Kill: Inside Elite U.S. Ops (S3, E5) | America's Book of Secrets | Full Episode
Examining America's Secret Armies: Operations, Oversight, and Future Warfare
Discover which elite, deniable units execute America's most sensitive missions globally and analyze the growing controversy surrounding their autonomous funding and technological acceleration.
Short Summary
- Secret Tier 1 units like Delta Force and SEAL Team 6 conduct high-risk counter-terrorism missions with minimal public knowledge.
- The Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) oversees these forces, funding operations through massive, largely unregulated black budgets.
- The introduction of autonomous robotics (like ATLAS) and sophisticated cyber warfare (Stuxnet) pushes conflict beyond traditional human engagement.
- This segment explores the necessity of secrecy for operator safety versus the public’s right to oversight regarding legal and financial exposure.
This presentation details the structure and function of America's clandestine military arms, focusing initially on ground operations (Delta Force, Night Stalkers) and their need for plausible deniability. It transitions into high-tech threats, examining how secret funding mechanisms shield these growing capabilities from scrutiny. Finally, the segment investigates the rise of private military contractors and autonomous robotic warfare as the next frontiers of covert conflict.

Ok I have to say something quick. You do not "win" the Medal of Honor. It's not a trophy. It's a recognition of extreme valor displayed during combat operations. You receive the MOH.
00:29 ....... you dont win the Medal of Honor, you earn it
Delta now being deployed against cartels in 2025.
Them showing this stuff should tell you all that they can already build more technologically advanced things now. This stuff was recorded back in the 90's
It's called top secret for a reason people...
Delta dont mess up missions like the seal teams do, the Unit in my humble opinion is much better trained over time

First there’s CAG and then there’s Orange… when you know, you know and that’s it.
They do what it takes to keep everyone as safe as possible.
I was an army Ranger and have been around both seals and Delta. From my experience I would say that Delta is a more refined, and quieter organization compared to the seal teams. Not to take anything away from seal team 6 guys. Awesome bunch of guys and very capable if you know what I mean. Every special ops unit has its own specialties and capabilities. They are all elite operators. This way the president and his advisors have the choice of picking and using the right unit for a specific mission or application . One thing that we all had in common was we were all governed by JSOC and SOCOM.
