Another Day, Another Media Spin...

There was an entire chapter in my AP Psychology class about David Reimer which dismantles the entirety of gender theory in one chapter. It’s an excellent class, no wonder they pulled it.

My kid was one of the affected kids. She immediately mentioned the school talking points. I showed her with facts how wrong she was. It was a good lesson.

I’m waiting to hear how the View will twist it further.

I got my dual enrollment psychology book blocked from me in Florida. Not because of a law but because of the employee refusing to do their job. The obvious solution to jump to is raise their minimum wage and assume the class is blocked

Next they'll replace AP math because they aren't allowed to teach 2+2=5

Funny, I took several college level psychology courses in the early 2000s and none of that "foundational content" was mentioned at all

Here we go again with Freud: Freud believed that human life runs on tension and pleasure. However, he defined this tension as a product of sexual libido or energy being built up within the body. His solution to this tension was a sexual release or the discharge of this sexual energy.

I had AP Psych in high school back in the late 2000's, and it was as scientific as possible. In addition to psychological concepts and neurological data which has been collected and analyzed over time, I learned an extraordinary amount about the proper way to formulate scientific studies. This has greatly aided me in my ability to analyze information for myself. As far as gender is concerned, we didn't spend an inordinate amount of time on it. We DID learn about body dysmorphia and related issues, which were still considered psychological problems at the time. What I learned still holds water in my ability to understand other people as well as predicting future behavior, so for now I'm going to assume that it was generally accurate. Gender was NOT "foundational" to the class in any sense of the word. It was peripheral at best. Of course, my teacher was also very focused on teaching us in as unbiased a way as possible, and placed great priority on truth over perception, so I'd say she was exceptional. All the kids in the class took the AP exam, and all of us passed it. Definitely exceptional.

Just got two emails from school, first one they removed pa class, today they brought it back!! We live in a mad world!!

It is high time we hold these liars to account and PUNISH them accordingly!
