We wait to take action because killing profits is unacceptable but killing people is totally acceptable.
And those who failed these victims due to feckless leadership will be enjoying their fat pensions and no one will be disciplined or punished.
3:37 I have seen a lot of footage of this accident. But this is new to me. To think that the pilots saw what was about to happen and tried to avoid the helicopter is even more heartbreaking.
And the LGA runway collision sadly confirms that safety is NOT a priority.
Brutal seeing that military veteran pilot endure his son's death following in his exact footsteps; may he rest in his peace and may his loved ones be comforted.
The worst feeling is when you get to know that it was avoidable yet the limits were pushed until human lives paid the price. -Max

This is nuts.
Since DCA is owned by the feds, Congress should cut back flight volume and reroute flights to Dulles or Baltimore. This is nuts. You can call it ATC error but we are expecting our ATCs to be superhuman. This is not so much the airline’s fault as it is Congress wanting their special flights always available to fly in and out to their districts on short notice.
Too Many Helicopters next to Airliners. Just plain Criminal Negligence.
