I love Rottenborn saying Johnny won’t take responsibility for his actions and he always blames other people when that is literally Amber’s go to move.
I hear people argue that this trial should never have been publicised but after watching it, you can only imagine how desperate Johnny must have been to defend himself. To completely lay bear his life to be scrutinised in this way (the good, the bad & the ugly!) in order to clear his name.. wow, so glad he won. Justice was served.
This was not a Men V Women case, this was a Truth V Lies case
Amber's lawyer's didn't want this trial televised for obvious reasons. The people watched and saw who the abuser was. I hope she never works again
Camille’s smile every time Amber slips up is GOLDEN.
I hope what can be drawn from cases like this is: 1. Listen to allegations seriously regardless of gender 2. Thoroughly investigate the allegations 3. Act when evidence corroborates the allegations 4. If evidence does not support the allegations then the person in question is presumed innocent 5. Take fake accusations seriously when evidence is proven the accusations are false. Making false claims hurts those it targets and others who make true accusations as it's hard enough to come forward.
I love that, in the end, the Jury didn't fall for Amber's awful attempts at crocodile tears and her constant looks towards them. They chose justice over a manipulative, soulless person. The court of law is the only place where she could no longer flip the narrative and as a result she was left flailing
After watching closing arguments from both sides, I find Amber’s legal team arguments were weak, baseless and overwhelmingly empty. Knowing their evidence presented by their witnesses weren’t credible, they instructed jurors to ignore hard facts and evidence, but to focus on Amber’s rights on freedom of speech. Outcome of the verdict isn’t surprising.
“You will always remember this as the day that you almost caught, Captain Jack Sparrow!”
