Love this. This is what history channel used to show. Instead of pawn stars or some other BS show.
Who else loves history an anything 2 do with it! I always love watching documentarys on older history
Back when The History Channel was actually about showing history.
Absolutely amazing material put out by the history channel right here. I can't stop watching these. They are so interesting and well made.
Loved this show. Why did it only last one season? There are so many more battles they could have explained. Cancel a great show like this after a single season but let those hustlers from Oak Island be on for over seven years? Cancel Jurassic Fight Club after one year but have those snake oil salesmen from Ancient Aliens have been on for 19 seasons? SERIOUSLY?
After the battle, Miltiades had his helmet inscribed with dedication to Zeus, and offered it up at the temple of Zeus at Olympia. It was unearthed many centuries later and can now be seen at the excellent museum at Olympia. It gave me chills to look at it and imagine it protecting Miltiades at Marathon.
The title “Judgement day at Marathon” enough of a blockbuster title for a movie.
Yes the good ol days of the history channel...man I miss it
When the History channel was THE HISTORY CHANNEL.
I listen to this at least once a week before I head to bed.
