If you don't discipline your unruly children, the world will discipline them

The only people complaining about Matt’s statement are people with undisciplined children. I have 6 kids under 10 years old, and they are respectful while in public. They need to be taught this behavior.

Some parents don't even notice. Like a neighbor with a nonstop barking dog, they're just oblivious and numb to it. Super sad to see parents not teaching their children to society.

We have parents who don’t know what right looks like anymore. It’s a problem.

The way we teach children is by holding them to higher standards, not letting them get away with everything

The lack of discipline in homes & in public has a huge part in why society is the way it is now

I went to Mass in Nashville a few years ago. Matt and his family were behind me. He had infants and kids (young). He is not kidding, his family kept the kids respectful. He is not kidding.

It’s the complete lack of common sense and the zero shame our current society is suffering from. Bring back public shaming and ostracism of those who are failing in our communities.

I have a two year old boy. He is packed full of energy and at best can only make it twenty minutes to half hour into a church service before he gets antsy, wants to wander, yell, play, whatever. So when he starts getting disruptive I take him downstairs where there’s a playroom and schooling area for kids and a library. I can still hear the sermon on the loud speakers, my son is content and I’m not bothering anybody. Not every church is gonna have that kind of set-up which I understand. But Sunday is a special time at church where people are trying to get closer to God, learn, practice, and I’m not gonna let my child distract them from that.
