Description

In this episode of The Jay Martin Show, Jay sits down with acclaimed economist and macroeconomic strategist, Lyn Alden, to discuss the current state of the global economy and what the future might hold. Lyn dives deep into the potential impact of rate cuts by the Federal Reserve, explaining why they may be less effective than many expect and how this could shape the economic landscape moving forward. They also explore the concept of "fiscal dominance," the challenges of the U.S. monetary system, and whether we're heading towards a new era of financial repression. Lyn shares her insights on equity market rotations, discussing how capital could shift away from the major tech companies and U.S. equities towards emerging markets and commodities as global economic conditions evolve. The US dollar is still the world’s primary reserve currency, which gives it a lot of resilience. There’s also strong demand for U.S. Treasury bonds globally, which helps support the dollar’s value.

The Fed's talk of interest rate cut leaves me pondering what stocks to buy now and when do I sell? I'm unsure how to properly allocate my money to achieve an optimal portfolio in this present economy, my goal is huge for retirement.
