Its a bad sign when you are more excited for the reviews than the actual movie
Disney + Marvel and Hollywood at large needs to give cinema back to the creatives instead of just commissioning writers and rushing scripts. We’re all here cuz we love movies but are unhappy with the current state of the industry
Honestly, I always expected this. People don't have the energy to hate on MCU, nor do they have the energy to care about it. It dies by apathy, and I think that's beautiful.
The moment they made multiple TV shows mandatory viewing for a movie is going to be treated as Marvel's biggest mistake in the future
If only Marvel had I don't know 80 years of comic material to choose from to come up with a better story!
I was forced to watch this last night. Two points 1. I don't think I'm the target audience for marvel anymore. 2. The combined emotional intelligence of the characters would add up to a 6 year old.
"The effects must service the story. When the effects become the story, we've lost our way." -Steven Spielberg
When your villain has the same evil plan as Spaceballs, you should probably hire a new writer.
"the prospect of a teenage girl explosively decompressing on our screens would've turned it into a very different movie" The Drinker never dissapoints😂
I just saw the movie and I laughed a few times. Not because it was intentional by it... It's almost as if you asked a 6 year old little girl in the 90s what she wanted to see in a movie. and..."Princess or Cindarella, singing, sometiing like freaky friday, oh and cats, I love Cats aaaand jump rope!" was the answer and the author was like : "don't say anymore, I got you!" The whole thing was then just garnished with a little toxic femininity and every male role was given more cluelessness than the main actors(who gives a shit about their backgrounds, it is about empoerment of the gilrls, right?) , as always. aaaand the movie was finished. Why did it take so long for this?
