That UV test is pretty eye opening, it's amazing that most of the cords were disintegrating after only 9 months. Obviously given the time investment it takes that requires a lot of planning ahead on your part. I've never seen someone put so much effort into testing tools the way you do, so I shouldn't be surprised!

*Tarps* themselves may be worth weather testing; several silver tarps from Harbor Freight lasted one winter covering my tractor, one silver tarp from Lowe's is still going strong after four years.
