Big builders like lennar build shitty ass houses. I work in hvac and it’s very sad when these people buy these pieces of crap
2 major factors missed in the home affordability discussion. 1) Foreign Investors buying homes in cash reducing supply. 2) inflation isn’t due to the rates, it’s monetary supply. Reduce government spending/money supply and prices will come down.
Artificially toying with interest rates is how we got in this mess in the first place. The market should dictate the rate.
My husband and kids are in construction. My husband is a contractor, and the boys will take over in the future. At this point, we don't like building new homes. We like high-end remodeling. We can make more money and it's quicker. But we do way better work than a large builder. They slap it up to make more money. We would be embarrassed to build it that cheap.
Honestly I love Vinny, after seeing he drives a Corolla. It’s not about the worth but how simple he is. Guys sorry he’s my favorite, he’s got passion for what he believes in.
Today was so enjoyable to listen to… calm, everyone taking turns talking, no yelling or defensively defending their stance. Counter points and facts still being spoken. Refreshing really😃
I like this format much more with just PBD and tom I think having rob chime in more would also be great. Less chaos and more substance.
The best two business Wednesdays are some of the most informative episodes I've ever seen. Keep them coming!!
It was before my time (and before being a publicly traded company), but my favorite union story was when the former CEO (one of the founders of my company) heard there were union talks in our shop. He called a company wide meeting, pulled up a step ladder, climbed to the top of the step ladder to make sure everyone could see him and shouted out "You see this?" as he held up a piece of chain. "If you want a union go ahead, but when you come in to work tomorrow this chain will be on the door. I will lock the door and close the business. I have made enough money I will shut it down". 30 years later here we are, still not a union shop.
One of your best - the attitude, conversation, and insight was excellent!
