I'm telling you as a true Batman fan. Years ago when Afflecks Batman movie fell through I was upset as hell. As soon as I watched this movie I was amazed. Matt Reeves knocked it out the park.
Can we take time to appreciate that hishe is always SO fast when a Batman or Spider-man movie come out?
At the point when the explosion is about to go off, Batman throws his arms around the exposed areas of his face. Still unrealistic but the way they go around the explosion plot hole
To be fair, when Colson blows up he puts his arms up in time to block his face... His suit is bulletproof it seems so I feel it's safe to assume it's fireproof as well. I had a problem with it the first time, but I see now

1:10 I’m pretty sure the public knows him as the Batman, but he calls himself Vengeance to the criminals he faces. The Riddler knew him from the news as Batman, hence the address on the letters, but Selina learned he was called Vengeance from the Penguin.
Before the bomb went off, he puts his arm across the lower part of his face. It’s noticeable after a few watches.
Vengeance name comes from i believe the show Kevin Conroy animated Batman. " I am vengeance, I am the night, I am Batman!"
