Steve used these communication techniques in a video talking about communication techniques. That’s pretty cool.

I was literally thinking about this problem of mine this morning after our stand up meeting. I tried excaildraw, I even tried explaining with example but some how my boss didn't get my idea. Thanks for this Steve!

Uncle Steve speed talking lol. On a serious note, that's what other people outside of the team hears about the details.

The rigor in math reinforces and rewards people going very deep, which is complete opposite of how to communicate with a wide audience. I worked with a bunch of math and computer science PhD. Instead of being thoughtful about others at work, they put down how others did not understand the rigor of math. They constructively dismissed people who didn't have an advanced math or computer science degree (including me). Plenty worked there for decades because they felt understood and safe. I bet I made more money and had more chance for advancement than the PhD grads after I accepted a P2 job elsewhere.
