Description

Support our work: https://democracynow.org/donate/sm-desc-yt Shahed Ghoreishi was fired from his position as a press officer for Israeli-Palestinian affairs at the U.S. State Department earlier this week. While no official explanation was given, Ghoreishi was involved in multiple departmental disputes over how to characterize U.S. positions on Israel's forced expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza and the killings of Palestinian journalists. In a TV broadcast exclusive, Ghoreishi speaks to Democracy Now! about his firing and what it may tell us about the Trump administration's future policy in Israel and Palestine. They're trying to purge everyone that still has a moral conscience. Much respect to Mr. Ghoreishi.

Shahed Ghoreishi was ideal for the position. His performance could offend only a radical ideologue. Best wishes for future success.❤

Shahed is an upright professional with a conscience; Hukebee is more of an israeli agent rather than a US Ambassador; he is not only biased but completely sold out. He was seen wearing the Israeli insignia on his jacket instead of the American flag insignia in Piers Morgan show. Shame on him.

The people who still can’t bring themselves to call what is happening to the Palestinians a GENOCIDE are the worst kind of cowards. Everyone should be condemning the targeting and murdering of Palestinian journalists, doctors, etc without equivocation. Palestinians deserve to live!

So much killing Going on and no one is doing anything. What can I do as American citizen? We protest, but no one listen, only some are arrested and banned from their jobs. 😢

I hope others will continue to speak out. Let them fire everyone. This cannot continue.
