Lived in Türkiye for almost two years recently. Loved everyday of it, and the Turkish people were so warm to me and my family. I hope they are able to bounce back from the crippling inflation of the past few years.
It’s a little early. In the good old USA it takes months to count ballots
USA does not understand all politics are local! USA needs to work on democracy in USA !
Never judge a country by its expats. They are usually stuck in a time capsule when they left their countries. A once a year visit does not change that mindset. I have many friends who seem to be stuck in such mindsets. When ome of these people return after a long time, they get a reverse culture shock.
Hey Turkish voter (and a huge Imamoglu supporter) here. Never in a million years I would have thought to see his face in this channel lol
You forgot to mention Atatürk who was the founder of modern Turkey in 1922. He was a secularist.
Not all muslims want sharia in Turkey. Most muslims are okay with secularism as long as theyre free to practice their religion without oppression which was the case in the 90s Turkey.

The Turks are also very angry about the Erdogan government response to the earthquakes.
This is good news. I'm happy to see the Turks stand strong for themselves and their country.
