My grandpa has said before that love isn't a feeling. It's an act.
Two things can be true at once. It can be necessary to divorce under certain circumstances. At the same time, people should try everything possible before divorce.
I am a high school teacher and a few years ago, I noticed that a lot of my students who were struggling academically didn’t have email addresses on file for both parents. I went through my roster and made a list of kids who lived with both mom and dad and a list of kids with either a single parent or a parent and a step parent on file. The kids with both parents in the same home had an average grade of A- and the kids with single or step parents had an average grade of D+. It made me wonder if I could really even have an impact on students when their family structure had such an obvious and enormous impact on their success.
My dad had 3 failed marriages, my mom had 2. I decided I'd never put my kids through what they did to my brother and I. I've been married for 15 years next March. We're not divorcing and couldn't be happier and more in love. 2 kids, house, 2 cars and a dog and a cat. What more could I want.
People who have kids forget the kid should be the focus of them after a divorce. You may not have to like each other, but you created that child. Take care of them
If a couple divorces and remarries 3 TIMES… that is a huge red flag
Thank you Ben - so sick of parents being selfish and getting divorced
Ben, this is the finest thing I’ve heard you speak about. Strong families are so important. Thank you!
Ben, this honestly may be the best segment you've ever put out. I've been listening to you for years at this point. What you said was right on the money. I wish it could be shown in schools nationwide. Love ya man. You're always in my prayers.
Divorce destroys children in one way or another.
