“Targeted Retribution on Black Women” — Trump’s Economic War Against Black America Escalates

Praying for all of my sisters going through the massive firings. May they all get back on their feet.

I encourage all BW who get fired from federal AND private sector jobs to get together and form consulting companies. Everyone knows that the people doing the actual work at these agencies and companies are the BW. We are also the people with the institutional memory at these places. You are VERY valuable, ladies. Make them pay you for your knowledge at the rate set by you!

I’m a black woman who has been in tech for the last 20 years and this is the first time in my career I’ve had trouble finding tech work. When they started laying people off in tech, who do you think they got rid of first? Black women.

I too have loss my contract position in IT back in January 2025 in the private sector & have applied for numerous positions since. Can’t tell how many times I’ve revamped my resume only to hear crickets! I’m on the verge of potentially being homeless & losing everything for the first time in my life. Only source of income has being doing ride-share. I spend more gas than I bring home per week. I’m not giving up! I’m determined & staying prayed up.

They mad because we went to college and started competing for jobs they thought we would never have.

Tha harder *they* try to stop "us" the more *we*rise. Keep on pushing ✊🏽

I’m definitely experiencing a loss in income due to losing jobs, access to funding, and a lot of denial with my job applications even with temp agencies…. Never had this problem until recently

People need to vote in all elections especially the local elections.

Also other than Alvin Bragg, Black women are the ones who led the charge to hold him accountable for his crimes
