Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.) tore into Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche over his attendance at David Ellison's dinner honoring Donald Trump, just as his company Paramount was pursuing a $110 billion merger with Warner Bros. Attorney Brendan Ballou, a former Jan. 6 prosecutor, called the development "horrifying" from an ethical standpoint. Ballou just filed a shareholder lawsuit seeking to block the merger, arguing that executives are breaching their fiduciary duties and violating federal anti-bribery law.
