The call button elevator panel, the telephones, the hallways, and the maneurisms of people then. It just takes me back to that era which I vividly remember. Thank you, David!
One could still smoke at will, whenever and wherever.
8:48 (also first appearance 4:19) Burt Spitz (Nov 18, 1936 - Nov 24, 1985) was 46 when the documentary was shot, and was only 49 years old, 6 days after his birthday, when he passed away from AIDS. His obituary from November 26, 1985: "Services for Burt Spitz, 49, an insurance agent, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel at 25 E. Erie St. Mr. Spitz died Sunday in his Near North Side home. He had been a Prudential Insurance Co. agent for 25 years and since 1978 had been president of Insurance International Ltd., in the Prudential Building. Mr. Spitz is survived by a son, Jay; three daughters, Kim, Tracy and Melanie; his father, Alan; and a sister." Rest in Peace.✝
I have just discovered your amazing work and it is just fantastic ! Thanks to you, we can remember how life was before ; thank you for that !
Thanks David 😊
Fabulous, David. The concept…the shots..the narration. Who is your voice over on this ?? The building staff was great. People seemed to actually care. And great cooperation /willing participants from everyone working there….. Prudential….own a piece of the rock. Enjoyed it David.
As much fun you had filming this documentary. I had just as much fun watching it. It make me think twice about what goes on behind the scenes the next time I go into a skyscraper. Thank for sharing this with us David 😊🧡✌️
I love these looks back in time. I worked in a downtown Houston high rise back in the 90s. I was on the 44th floor. That was a great experience.
Nice to see you 😊
