Mom Used Power Drill with Screw on Young Daughter: Police

A Florida mother was arrested after her 12-year-old daughter reported that she was injured when her mom allegedly pressed a powered drill with a screw against her during what the mother later claimed was meant as a joke. Investigators say the child suffered bleeding and a visible injury, and further interviews with the children raised additional concerns about their safety at home. The woman was charged with child abuse, briefly jailed on a $25,000 bond, and court records show the case has since been closed. Law&Crime’s Elizabeth Millner goes Inside the Crime.
