I've heard this story before but it never gets old. It speaks volumes on what an incredible person Carl Sagan was as well as Dr. Tyson who committed to being as good a person. Both teachers, in every sense of the word, of the highest order. Happy birthday Dr. Tyson.
Sadly, when Carl Sagan passed away, I was looking in his window and didn't know it. I lived across the lake here in Seattle when he left us and my windows were facing his room. He was my idol and I was crushed. I wish I could've met him. (Cosmos changed my life forever.) Fortunately I did get to meet Neil here a few years back and he was every but as warm as you'd imagine.
