Description

Is geopolitics really about ideology? Or is it a global portfolio reallocation? In this conversation, Dr. Warwick Powell reframes Trump 2.0, Canada’s trade pivot, Europe’s energy scramble, and the AI boom as symptoms of a deeper structural shift. Powell argues the West has built too many abstractions and not enough productive capacity. We explore whether AI data centers are net-positive infrastructure, what it would actually take to rebuild a durable, energy-secure economy and so much more. Super analysis and great interview! Western Developed nations are also limited by an embedded aging infrastructure, while newly developing economies create more modern energy networks for 21st century production and services. The burden of modernizing an old grid cannot be overcome quickly, particularly when supply chains are being actively disrupted. We have a lot of catching up to do and we must focus on net productive resources, especially modern grids and transportation infrastructure.
