The narrator seems to think Tom's gun is a smoothbore. It's actually a rifle.
The narrator is clueless. It has rifling. It’s not a musket. I respect Tom. But the editors need to get their facts straight.
Tom is truly one of the BEST human beings to ever live!! He’s humble, intelligent, a great teacher, amazing work ethic, gracious, kind …… I could just go on and on! ❤
Tom's gun appears to be a smoothbore in the narrator's estimation. Actually, it's a rifle.
Tom is my favorite, but the narrative is incorrect, a hawkens muzzleloader is rifled, muskets are smooth bore, a hawkens muzzleloader once you figure out what powder charge and patch thickness for your round ball is deadly accurate at 100 yards or more depending on the person, true, it does not rival modern rifles, it is very primitive, but for someone who knows how to use one it is a very effective single shot rifle, I use one for deer hunting myself
Watch an all new season of Mountain Men, new episodes Thursdays at 8/7c, and stay up to date on all of your favorite The HISTORY Channel shows at http://history.com/schedule.
Now tom is retired in Florida
Yes it is a rifle because of the groves in the barrel
I hunted with a muzzle loader for 25 years and got a lot of deer I love the show Tom is one of the coolest guys ever
Worrying will never change the outcome.
