Shout out to anyone else in Eastern PA whoβs garden got flooded out in May so June is starting the garden over π
0:27 Herbs 2:46 Tomatoes 6:27 Flowers (Portulaca) 8:43 Corn 11:16 Cucumbers 13:57 Sissoo spinach 15:12 Flowers (Cosmo & Zinnia) 17:27 Watermelon
Iβm in Zone 7B and direct sowed bush beans in the beginning of May. It has rained like crazy and the temps have been lower than normal. Only a few germinated. Finally we will have normal temperatures this week. Tomorrow I will sow my beans again. Hopefully they will germinate quickly so I can harvest in late July and I can plant again for a second harvest in October. I also have to sow my winter squash and my midget melon. Everything else has germinated okay. This video has given me hope about sowing in June!
Starting the month with planting tips like these gives great motivation. June really feels like a fresh new season for gardeners. β€
Shannie: "I rooted these in my kitchen window...." My wife: "Oh, tell me she doesn't have a cat without saying she doesn't have a cat." π€£ππ€£
I couldn't get my rosemary to sprout so I just bought some rosemary sprigs from grocery store and started rosemary from cuttings.
I have such a soft spot for the warm colored sunflowers. Love the new varieties.
these gardens make me want to move a bit more out of the city so I can ahve a bigger garden lol
Thank you for guiding me through my gardening journey.
I'm in the process of building a greenhouse for better success next year.
