A former Chevron executive advised the CIA that a post-Maduro Venezuela would be better off under his autocratic deputy Delcy Rodriguez than under opposition leader Maria Carina Machado, the Wall Street Journal reported in an explosive investigation. Ali Moshiri, the former Chevron President for African/Latin America, did not deny giving that advice to the CIA, which memorialized it in a secret assessment handed to Donald Trump.
